- Getting Started
Tutorials are useful to train both library staff and patrons on how to navigate and use newly implemented OSS ILS. There are many online tutorial resources in the form of videos, demos, image sequences, and other staff training materials.
For Evergreen, library staff might consult Indiana State Library's staff training documents, which include numerous demos, and the PINES YouTube playlist of Evergreen tutorials. There are also many Evergreen tutorials available to help patrons become more familiar with navigating the catalog; the Pendleton Public Library has made resources of this nature available online.
Koha has more extensive online tutorial resources than Evergreen. The official Koha wiki has numerous tutorials, and ByWater Solutions has also released its own Koha tutorials in the form of "TV episodes." In terms of library-specific resources, the Bertha Smith Library has created its own YouTube channel for Koha tutorials about accounts and searching.
