- Getting Started
Lots of libraries use community documentation or other libraries' resources to create materials for staff training on an OSS ILS. These materials can include manuals, guides, and even video tutorials on such topics as circulation, cataloging, administration, and reports modules for Evergreen and Koha. A lot of these materials are available online, but most libraries who have had to create their own training manuals know that more materials would be better.
Do you have any suggestions about staff training that you would like to share with libraries migrating to OSS ILSs? Would you be willing to share any of the training materials you developed? In the open source community, the key word is "community" - and the more libraries that are willing to get involved and share their resources, the stronger this community will be!
